My attitude isn't entirely positive or negative by default. For example, my attitude towards this assignment is fairly negative, I'm inclined to think it's mindless busywork. My attitude towards Charles Swindoll poetry is also somewhat dismal. My attitude toward the idea of going home on the other hand is fairly positive. My attitude towards service learning isn't static. It may differ according wheather or not my cherios were stale that morning. I dont think it needs any specific improvement, and I feel even less need to write a paragraph about it. Everyone has probably influenced me in some way or the other, a full explanation would be fairly extensive.

service learning blog week 10

At the moment I'm working on a "self portriat" collage, a collection of images that somehow represent me. Next week we are going to start on actual self portriats, in any medium. I don't how broad "any medium" is actually meant to be. The portriants are going to be done from pictures of ourselves and several "expressive" objects that we are supposed to come up with. There isn't really that much to talk about here.

examples of communication

written: letters, books, newspaper

Written communication doesn't neccesarily express tone or sentiment. It can, but doesn't always. It depends on who's writing it.

verbal: song, conversation, radio

This form is the most immediate and direct. Since most speech is inherently public it can also be less accurate or honest as it is the most directly influenced by social norms and constraints.

noverbal: art, gestures, clothing

This type of communication is more abstract and difficult to dissect directly. I think most people find this more difficult to interpret than other forms.

communication skills

I have good written communication skills. I don't generally communicate well verbally, or converationally. It varies depending on who I'm communicating with. I don't effeciently communicate in "encounters". I don't know that my self projections are always accurate; I dont translate well.

service learning blog week 9

My attitude isn't a static thing, and I wouldn't describe it as wholly positive or negative. It fluctuates. For example my attitude towards this assignment is fairly negative, and my feelings towards Charley Swindoll's poetry is also dismal. My attitude towards going home on the other hand is comparatively positive. The same applies to my attitude toward service learning. Other people sometimes influence my attitude according to their own; I can't think of any examples that I particularly want to mention here, I think its a widely understood concept anyway.
