I'm not sure what the potential hazards of my service learning site are, we meet on the school campus. Was a lead base used in the paint here? Perhaps a lingering poltrageist from the mental facility? A priest would be glad to drive out any demonic spirits. There were some 19th century rumours of internal combustion that I don't think were ever entirely disproved, so thats always a possibility. Also an astroid may or may not collide with the earth sometime in the next several hundred years.
The U.S. Department of Labor occupational safety and heatlh administration does not contain any information on internal combustion. They do however provide several procedures for sampling and analyzing of a premises in order to determine the sites cotton dust content. According to OSHA, this cotton dust can be potentially harmful and cause allergies. Rather than counting individual dust grains, the dust in an area instead be measured with a device called the Lumsden-Lynch vertical elutriator, which operates at a flow rate of 7.4 + or - 0.2 liters/minute.
