Service learning blog 2

I'm in the art service learning class. Last week we looked at lettering fonts used in advertising and how the influence the readers. Various fonts are used to create different associations, depending on what is being marketed. This is vaguely interesting, we're suppose to create our own font using our initials. I drew the letter C in the form of a tree, I have doubts as to whether this expresses me as a person in any way shape or form. There really isn't that much to say about the class at this point. The teacher is a college professor, she paints abstract nature related landscapes with acrylics and hates oil paint. I like oil paint and dislike acrylics. Aside from this she seems to be an interesting teacher.
