Service learning blog 3

Be prepared and getting started as my skills for improvement. I chose be prepared because its obnoxious to come to class and have to spend ten minutes asking for a pencil; and getting started because otherwise I will probably end up staring at the screen for several hours, or engage in other exhilarating activities such as pencil rolling or eraser flipping.

Five ways to take better notes:

-review notes from previous class before starting
-bring several pens and notebook paper to class
-only write down main ideas
-use abbreviations
-re-write or review notes after class

Five ways to control procrastination
-self motivate
-work on task as part of a group
-get help from teachers or other students
-eliminate distractions
-set reasonable standards
